Meet Our Trainer

Eddie Clattenburg

Eddie was born and raised in Arizona. His mother is from Kauai and his father is from Boston, Massachusetts. He played various sports as a child and all the way through college. In high school, he played football, wrestled, and competed in Olympic Weightlifting. After high school, he attended Arizona State University (ASU) and played club rugby and continued to compete in Olympic Weightlifting during his freshman year. During his sophomore year, he transferred to Phoenix College and played football for one season. During the off season he tore his ACL and meniscus in his left knee and was unable to play the following season. He transferred back to ASU and walked-on to their football team. While attending ASU, he majored in Exercise Science and Physical Education, and received his Bachelor’s Degree.

His studies encompassed everything he was passionate about. He became a better athlete and his studies helped him rehabilitate his own injuries. Chronic injuries eventually ended his football career at ASU, but this actually jumpstarted his career in coaching and personal training! During his senior year at ASU, he completed a professional internship with in Phoenix, AZ and he acquired his first 2 Personal Training certifications and has not stopped since. Eddie has trained over 20,000 personal training sessions and worked with a large variety clients ages ranging from 12-87 years old! He currently holds many different certifications (See Certifications Page) and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education from Arizona State University.

Eddie moved to Hawaii in 2005. From January 2005 through the summer of 2006, he volunteered as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Hawaii, in the athletic weight room. He worked under the Head Strength and Conditioning coach Tommy Heffernan. Eddie has always wanted to help others and give back to the community of Hawaii. As a personal trainer he is able to help the people of Hawaii become healthier and happier!

In 2011, with the help of his wife Hannah, Everyone Can Fitness (EC Fitness) was opened. They currently have two daughters, Mia and Anabelle. You will often see them visiting at the gym! Along with being a father, fitness is his passion. He is constantly attending courses to learn new fitness methods and motivation techniques. He loves helping others to become better no matter what the goal. Whether its weight loss, strength, performance, endurance, or rehabilitation Eddie can help you do it all!
